Apply
Tell us what you notice, what you are learning and the kind of contribution that feels natural to you.
→Cognitive Laboratory / Open Field
Anyone aged 18 or above can apply, from anywhere in the world. There is no degree requirement, no preferred school, no upper age limit and no single “correct” career path.
The invitation
ETHOS is interested in how you see, how you learn and what you can make useful - not whether your life followed a conventional path.
You may be a student, operator, parent returning to work, artist, technologist, researcher, founder, craftsperson or someone whose role does not yet have a name. What matters is your willingness to practise the principles and contribute to a shared system.
Work and selection can happen across borders and time zones.
Games and builds tell us more than certificates alone.
We value unusual paths, useful questions and complementary strengths.
Openness does not mean the absence of standards.
The entry game
The selection journey is itself a small experience of ETHOS: notice, choose, build, prove, reflect and learn.
Tell us what you notice, what you are learning and the kind of contribution that feels natural to you.
→Enter a short game that reveals how you observe, make choices, collaborate and learn under uncertainty.
→Work through a real or simulated case. We look for clear reasoning, useful questions and responsible trade-offs.
→Turn part of the case into a small working system, map, playbook, experiment or operating rule.
→Receive feedback, explain your choices and show what you would change after seeing the evidence.
→When principles, practice and opportunity align, enter through the most suitable participation path.
→Curiosity without performance. Clarity without arrogance. Ambition without extraction. The ability to make, test, listen, revise and help another person see further.
The practice code
These are not wall statements. They shape how work is designed, how disagreement is handled and how responsibility grows.
Make the important thing visible. Say what you know, what you assume and what remains uncertain.
Strengthen the whole system, not only the task or team directly in front of you.
Help people understand and govern the systems that affect their work.
Consider what today's decision makes easier, harder or impossible tomorrow.
Let evidence change your mind. Do not protect an idea from the reality meant to test it.
Leave the system, relationship and knowledge field stronger than you found them.
Skills can be taught and tools can change. These practices determine whether intelligence becomes shared capability or private power.
The opportunity
Growth inside ETHOS is not a ladder based only on tenure. It is an expanding field of trust, evidence and contribution.
Learn the language of ETHOS through open games, field notes and community challenges.
Practise alongside active work with feedback, constraints and increasing responsibility.
Design and operate systems across audits, research, intelligence, communication and client missions.
Hold principles, grow other builders and protect the coherence of the wider ETHOS field.
Conduct enterprise audits, map systems, frame decisions, design agentic workflows, engineer revenue streams, build learning games and make complex ideas legible.
Research, system design, operations, narrative, product experiments, community, client missions, evidence architecture and new ETHOS ventures.
Field missions, peer critique, playbooks, mentorship, reflection and increasingly consequential work - when opportunity and readiness align.
Participation can take different forms, including learning challenges, projects, apprenticeships or roles. Applications and successful challenges do not automatically guarantee employment or paid work.
Move 01 / Apply
No formal CV or cover letter is required. Your first application asks for a few honest signals about how you see systems and where you want to contribute.
Answer in your own words. We are not grading polished language.
Share unfinished proof.A small real experiment is more useful than inflated claims.
Expect a challenge next.If aligned, the next step is a game or case - not a conventional interview.
Context map
Understand the practice-first pathway, principles, games and application. Continue with the view that best matches the decision in front of you.
